CBDNA Conducting Study Grant Application

CBDNA Conducting Study Grant Application
Summer 2012
Committee on Gender and Ethnic Issues

The College Band Directors National Association is now accepting applications from conductors for its summer conducting study grant program. Directed to women and people of diverse ethnicity seeking an opportunity for professional development, this initiative affords award recipients tuition-free participation at summer conducting workshops sponsored by academic institutions across the country. Additionally, awards include reimbursement in an amount between $250-$300 to offset incurred travel costs for participation conductors.

Preference will be given to applicants with conducting/teaching experience, who have completed their undergraduate degree program. Past award recipients may apply, although first-time applicants are given priority consideration.

Completed applications must be received by April 13, 2012 and include:

1. Attached Application form (follow link below)
2. Personal essay (detailed in the application)
3. Letter of recommendation

All application materials (including letter of recommendation) should be sent electronically to Roby G. George, Chair of the CBDNA Committee on Gender and Ethnic Issues, at roby.george@indstate.edu by the APRIL 13, 2012 deadline.

Please indicate G&E Conducting Grant in the subject line. The Committee will review all applications and make notification of awards by May 1, 2012.

Best wishes,
