2009 SUNY Fredonia Conducting Symposium in Leipzig
The SUNY Fredonia Conducting Symposium is moving to Leipzig, Germany, and there is an opportunity for applied study. Join Paula Holcomb, Director of Bands at SUNY Fredonia and Toshiyuki Shimada, Conductor of the Yale Symphony Orchestra for the Conducting Symposium and members of the Gewandhaus Orchestra and SUNY Fredonia faculty for the Institute.

Walk in the Footsteps of Bach, Schubert and Mendelssohn for study at the International Music Institute of Leipzig where you can attend rehearsals and concerts of the Gewandhaus Orchestra, enjoy masterclasses and and perform in Bach's Church while enjoying the beautiful Germany culture!

This is a unique opportunity to experience many playing traditions through chamber, orchestral and applied study with SUNY Fredonia faculty, Yale University faculty, and members of the Gewandhaus Orchestra.

2009 University of North Texas Conductors' Collegium
The University of North Texas will be hosting its 13th Annual Conductors' Collegium from June 15-26, 2009 in Denton, Texas. Conducting repertoire will be selected from the recently published Teaching Music Through Performance in Band, Volume 7, grade 4.

Clinicians for this years workshop are Eugene Migliaro Corporon and Dennis Fisher from the University of North Texas, as well as Jack Stamp from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and James Jordan from Westminster Choir College.

The Collegium presents an opportunity for instrumental music educators of all levels from around the world to meet and discuss common goals, shared concerns, and practical solutions with colleagues, performers, and composers. 2009 University of Texas Art of Band Conducting and Rehearsing
The University of Texas at Austin is proud to announce the 2009 Art of Band Conducting and Rehearsing Workshop.

The workshop will be held June 14-18, 2009, and will feature University of Texas faculty members Jerry Junkin, Robert Carnochan, Richard L. Floyd, and Scott Hanna.

Participants will conduct both the summer wind ensemble and chamber ensemble, receive feedback from all the clinicians, and participate in small group discussions and lectures. The fee is $600 for participants and $350 for observers. Registration will open February 2nd, and enrollment will be limited to the first 24 paid participants. There is no limit for observers.

2010 Eastern Division Conference
The 2010 CBDNA Eastern Division conference will be March 11-14, 2010, at West Chester University. It will be held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band.
