Arrival and check in at your hotel - no band check-ins or meetings are
planned for this evening, except: Percussionists, check in briefly with festival chair at 7pm in Four Points Sheraton lobby.
Wednesday, March 28, 2007
8:00am - 11am, BAND REGISTRATION AND AUDITIONS. All winds and string
basses register for the band festival, at table in the Four Points
Sheraton lobby. Morning audition sights and schedule for winds and
string basses will be available at registration.
8:30am, UM provides shuttle for percussionists to get to Revelli Hall
9am-11am, SCIB percussionists meet at Revelli Hall with UMich graduate
conducting student (who is a percussionist) to work out logistics, part
assignments, setups, and introductory rehearsal.
11am-12:30 pm percussionists' lunch. Lunch options: walk to nearby
establishments
Noon - shuttle from hotel area to Revelli Hall, instructions provided at
registration
12:30pm-5:00pm-Full rehearsal. Location - Revelli Hall with a
refreshment break at 3pm.
5pm dinner. Those wishing to go to hotel, a shuttle will be provided at
5pm. There will be conference shuttles from the hotel to get back to
evening concerts at Hill Auditorium
Evening: open for students to attend concerts
Thursday and Friday, March 29 and 30
8:30am Bus transportation from hotel to Revelli Hall
9am-noon-Full rehearsal. Location - Revelli Hall
Lunch options: walk to nearby establishments
2pm-5pm-Full rehearsal. Location - Revelli Hall
5pm dinner. Those wishing to go to hotel, a shuttle will be provided at
5pm. There will be conference shuttles from the hotel to get to evening
concerts at Hill Auditorium.
Evening: open for students to attend concerts
Saturday, March 31, 2007
11:15am Shuttle bus transportation to campus. If you checked out of the
hotel this morning, a room will be provided for you to store luggage
until after the concert.
Noon-2pm-Dress rehearsal and final touches. Location- Hill Auditorium
2:30pm- 2007 Small College Intercollegiate Band Concert. Location - Hill
Auditorium
* At this point, the SCIB commitment is completed. After the
concert, student members' involvement with the CBDNA conference is
complete. Student members may attend all remaining activities and
concerts. To remain and take part in the remainder of the activities,
students will have to make arrangements for their lodging on the night
of March 31.
