2023 National Conference

Our 2023 national conference will take place February 15-18, 2023 in Athens, GA, hosted by the Hodgson School of Music at University of Georgia.

CBDNA 2023 Invitation to Present

The College Band Directors National Association supports our directors’ successful achievements through literature from small band programs at the National Conference in Athens, Georgia, February 15-18, 2023.

Selected directors will speak briefly on the literature they submitted for the session. They will concisely explain how and why the literature they chose was successful – and define what success was for and to them and their students.

Interested conductors are hereby requested to submit outstanding literature for consideration and presentation at the 2023 National Conference. The deadline for submissions is Friday, December 16th, 2022.

2024 North Central Division Conference

The University of Wisconsin-Madison will be the site of the North Central Division Conference on April 7-9. Learn more at our conference website. Registration is now open! Click below to see the conference web site/register!

The 2024 CBDNA North Central Division Conference will be held at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. The School of Music opened the new, state-of-the-art Timashev Family Music Building in the fall of 2022, which will be the site for the event. Dr. Russ Mikkelson and The Ohio State Band faculty will host the conference. The dates are April 4-6, 2024. More details will follow in the months to come. We invite you to save the dates!

2025 National Conference

Our 2025 national conference will take place March 26-29, 2025 in Fort Worth, TX, hosted by Bobby Francis of Texas Christian University.

2022 Eastern Division Conference

The Eastern Division conference will be held February 18-19, 2022 in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Harlan Parker will host performances at the Peabody Institute and we are thrilled that Dr. Carolyn Barber will be our conductor for the Intercollegiate Honor Band!

2022 Western/Northwestern Division Conference

Planning is now underway for the 2022 Western/Northwestern CBDNA Divisional Conference, March 16-19, 2022 at the University of Puget Sound.

In light of the extraordinary circumstances of the past year, this conference will surely look unlike any other. It will be a tremendous opportunity for us to come together as colleagues, celebrate the many accomplishments that have occurred in spite of the challenges we all have faced, and hopefully highlight innovations that could carry us into the future when things eventually return to normalcy.

2022 Southwestern Division Conference

The Southwestern Division conference will be held March 30-April 2, 2022 at Baylor University, Dr. Eric Wilson host. Excited to announce Allan McMurray will be our conductor for the Intercollegiate Honor Band, and Jeff Girard/Midwest Sheet Music will be joining us!

2022 Southern Division Conference

Cormac Cannon and the University of South Carolina will host the conference with the Southern Division of NBA Feb. 24-26 in Columbia, SC. All the events will take place within walking distance of the conference hotel, at the beautiful Koger Center for the Performing Arts, UofSC School of Music, and nearby public venues. Located steps from the historic Congaree Vista entertainment district, our school is perfectly situated to host a memorable and engaging conference. Jerry Junkin will be the keynote speaker.
